Steve Alpert
Artist Steve Alpert's artwork conveys compelling messages about the duty, honor and dedication of the women and men who serve and have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. His paintings present military personnel in action—from pausing after a skirmish to an honor guard carrying a flag-draped coffin, and an Army Chaplain officiating at a veteran’s funeral. His art connects service men and women, which includes active duty and retired military, to one another and the broader audience of Americans. Mr. Alpert’s "Full Honors" series is currently on exhibition at the Pentagon. His work is also a part of the permanent collection of The National Museum of the United States Marines in Quantico VA, the Women in Military Service for America Museum at Arlington National Cemetery, the Naval War College, The Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover AFB, Dover DE, and the International War College in Washington DC. He is currently working on a series of portraits of women veterans for the series,"Proudly She Served."
