Specializing in underwater HD filmmaking and cinematography. Steve’s award winning underwater short film, Arc of a Diver, received high accolades including winning the Montana CINE for best children’s film, honor of distinction at Celebrate the Sea Film Festival, Blue Ocean Film Festival, and Kids First! Film Festival. Arc of a Diver was also a finalist at Cannes Film Festival, International Wildlife Film Festival and Los Angeles Children’s Film Festival. Steve is in development on an underwater 3D IMAX film with Sean Phillips, Days End Pictures, Bob Cranston, and Mark Krenzien. He attended Art Center College of Design as a photo major and worked for many years shooting fashion photography. This experience has translated well underwater in terms of lighting, composition, problem solving, and working as part of a team under deadline. In addition he gives talks about the ocean at schools, dive clubs, and film festivals.
