Stichting Arunachala

Welcome to the Arunachala Foundation! We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and well-being of children in underprivileged areas. Our goal is to improve the standard of living in local communities through education, healthcare, infrastructure, and sustainable economic development. Our projects began 25 years ago in Tamil Nadu, India. This state in southern India is known for its rich culture, temples, and beautiful beaches. Despite these riches, children in Tamil Nadu face many challenges, including poverty, lack of access to healthcare and education, and limited economic opportunities. In addition to our projects in Tamil Nadu, we also work with the Apeed Foundation in Benin, Africa. Our focus in Benin is also on improving access to education and increasing opportunities for vulnerable groups of children to provide for themselves. Anton Honders founded the Arunachala Foundation in 1998 to address these challenges and support local communities in realizing their potential. We work with local partners and communities to implement sustainable development projects and improve the future prospects of children.
