Stichting Mattar helpt de ontheemden in de kampen in Noordwest-Syrië zichzelf te helpen. Nu hulpverlening voor deze 4,5 miljoen mensen uitblijft, wil Mattar haar steentje bijdragen. Wij financieren projecten van, voor en door de kampbewoners zelf en gaan daarmee de bittere armoede onder de bewoners te lijf. Wij werken niet met plaatselijke hulpverleningsorganisaties maar direct met de kampbewoners zelf. Hierdoor komt 95% van de gedoneerde gelden terecht in de uitvoering. Er zijn nauwelijks overheadkosten. Onze coördinator ter plaatse woont al zeven jaar in een kamp in Noordwest-Syrië. In ons artikel kunt u alles lezen over onze organisatie.
