At Stichting Moral Compass, we strive to make the world a better place. We do this by fighting poverty in the village of Hassi al Bagar in Southern Morocco - together with the village! By empowering the local community of Hassi al Bagar to drive sustainable development, we foster economic growth and improve the quality of life for villagers, ultimately breaking the cycle of poverty from within. MoralCompass was founded in 2020, when Malika Azammad witnessed the impact of Covid-19 on the Moroccan village where her father was born. Through a variety of initiatives, the foundation supports the villagers, with a particular emphasis on empowering youth, women, and single mothers to create lasting change. Our volunteers are from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, making this foundation one that is based on multilateral collaboration, leveraging diverse perspectives and expertise to create impactful, sustainable change in Hassi al Bagar. What connects us is the love for Morocco.
