Stile Semeraro's business idea is simple, connecting the best of two countries. It blends Sweden’s simple functionality with Italy's style and elegance. The idea for the Cupa-DS glass was born in a small wine-bar in Firenze, Italy. Its designer, Daniele Semeraro, also the owner of his namesake design company, Stile Semeraro, was born in Västerås Sweden in 1980."Designing without adding!" became his philosophy and the result was the Cupa-DS glass. It was after moving to Firenze that he discovered the joy of wine and the essential role the wine glass played in the drinking experience. He saw that the glass's stem was superfluous from both an aesthetic and a technical point of view. Staying true to the Italian tradition, the glasses are hand produced by the most knowledgeable glass blowers in Empoli, a historic glass community hidden in the Tuscan hills outside of Firenze. The swirling rotation of the glass when posed on a table is both amusing and practical; enjoy your brandy in this glass, and smell the aromas as they dissolve into their surroundings.
