However, some of our most important work is done outside the courtroom. At SLH, we have extensive experience persuading state and federal prosecutors to decline to bring charges against our clients, including in cases of sexual assault, financial fraud, computer crimes and various crimes against persons. Civil: We also represent individuals and businesses in civil litigation. We have defended clients sued for everything from securities fraud to complex business disputes involving copyright infringement and contract issues, as well as torts arising from or related to criminal matters, such as sexual assault. Constitutional: Because we are passionate about protecting the constitutional and civil rights of the disenfranchised against governmental abuses of power, we also represent clients in cases alleging police brutality, excessive use of force, wrongful arrest, and cruel and unusual punishment.
