After many years as CFO and CEO I've decided to focus on helping leaders get better. Being a leader of people is a great responsibility and privilege. Many lives are impacted by our actions and behaviors as leaders. There is so much written, blogged, and vlogged on great leadership. A lot of it is very good (hopefully my stuff included). I'm a junkie for all of it. But my focus now is helping leaders figure out what they specifically need to work on given their unique strengths, weaknesses, and situation. Because there is no one formula, no one list or one book to refer to. I am focusing on helping leaders identify their particular growth needs and helping them develop a structured plan to ensure success. I'm using time tested tools such as Myers Briggs type assessments and 360-degree reviews, as well as using a combination of classic coaching techniques, and providing advice based on our shared experiences. I feel particularly well positioned to help leaders because I’ve been there. As CFO and CEO I know the unique challenges leaders face. I believe my approach is unique due to my appreciation for the teachings of the ancient stoics and the practice of mediation, combined with proven skills needed to create and follow a plan to success.
