In October 2021, Sadie Khan plans to expand the central London ULEZ to the A406/205 boundary. That means a £12.50 daily charge for non-exempt motorcycles, cars, vans and minibuses to enter or drive within the zone. There are no resident or disabled driver exemptions and this will hit older people and the low-paid hard. Air quality in London is improving and the expansion of the zone will have only a minor early impact, leaving emissions in the same place by 2030.
