Storm King Comics

Storm King Comics, the award-winning publisher known for its horror and sci-fi comics for all ages, was founded a decade ago in 2012 by CEO Sandy King Carpenter. Sandy, already a successful horror film producer, became the first woman to establish a comic publishing company. Alongside her husband and creative partner, director John Carpenter, Sandy has rounded up some of the best creators in the comic book and entertainment world to craft top-level stories. Storm King’s celebrated lineup of over 100 books includes flagship title Asylum, award-winning anthology John Carpenter’s Tales for a HalloweeNight, and fan-favorite anthology Tales of Science Fiction. Middle-grade and YA line Storm Kids is the home of titles like the Eisner-nominated Stanley’s Ghost and the mythological fantasy series Fetch, with Book One debuting this year. In conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the company, the team is launching the new Dark & Twisted imprint this fall. Variety profiled Sandy and Storm King Comics, calling the publishing house “scary successful.”
