Strong Like AK is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families facing childhood cancer. Founded in honor of Adam Kincaid, Strong Like AK exists to ensure that no family walks this journey alone. We embrace families by providing comfort, offering financial care, and creating lasting memories during one of the most challenging seasons of their lives. Our work includes: Cost-free housing through the Strong Like AK Houses for families traveling for pediatric cancer treatment Financial care to help cover essential living expenses Wish experiences and comfort care that bring moments of joy and connection Youth leadership development, empowering the next generation through service and compassion Scholarship support for graduating seniors in Gaston County As we approach five years of service, Strong Like AK is guided by a strategic plan grounded in our core values: Compassion. Together with our donors, volunteers, partners, and community champions, we are building a future where families facing childhood cancer feel supported, cared for, and less alone.
