studio apotroes exists to fashion furniture and materials that are conscious, alluring, and accessible. Marrying traditional and new fabrication techniques and materials studio apotroes aims to push the boundaries on the contemporary understanding of furniture design and materiality to provide a new image of sustainability. Many of our products are produced in our San Antonio based studio. We also partner with local craftspeople to bring to life our other designs. We are a small design studio that wants customers to love and cherish each piece they bring into their home so production times are longer than convention. At studio apotroes, we want to explore what it looks like to pay our workers a living wage, produce furniture using sustainable materials, and at a sustainable rate. We believe in slow and gradual changes to sustain new habits. We are a small company and the issues we want to tackle require both systemic and individual changes snowballing into collective change.
