Studio Gyzell is a pioneering ecological bag brand that balances ethics with aesthetics. Bringing a small range of handcrafted, adjustable leather bags that are made to change and made to last. Brand owner and founder Aniko Kossen-Varga wants to create beautiful, timeless design pieces that make conscious choices easy and attractive to customers At Studio Gyzell we follow our own principles on sustainability, meaning all choices are made by focusing on design and manufacturing of products, waste and consumer awareness. Our philosophy, called Ecology Centred Design, is based on Aniko’s medical background and fifteen years working experience in occupational and environmental health. Supported by Amsterdam based boutique agency Sister from the very beginning, Aniko hopes to play an active role in the ongoing transition towards sustainable production and consumption patterns. The first Studio Gyzell handbag collection consists of three bag staples: a shopper, a clutch and a shoulder bag and ten different foldover front flaps. Each piece is ethically sourced and handcrafted in Europe. All you need is one of the foldover front flaps to adjust on the bags, changing your look just a little. Studio Gyzell believes in the power of change, not just for the future but for now. Which is why we reimagined what a conscious luxury bag could be. Besides adjusting our own production process to find the optimal balance between people and planet, we allow the wearer to adjust to change as well- both mindset and look. Being transparent about our conscious choices we want to inspire all women to buy less, buy well and cherish forever. Some things are as simple as that.
