Studio Hvn

Beijing-based Studio HVN is an award-winning design practice offering services in spatial and product design. Founded by Dutch designer Henny van Nistelrooy and Zhang Qi, the studio merges contemporary design with Chinese culture. The studio’s design methodology focuses on delivering exciting ideas based on research and developed through a process of thought and experimentation. We believe in making a positive contribution to people’s work, leisure, and living spaces through a design approach that responds to client requirements with original ideas, functionality, and inspiring contemporary design. Every Studio HVN project is the result of a concept tested to its limits and resolved with elegance, efficiency, and skill. Henny van Nistelrooy received his Master's degree from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2007. After five years working in London, Henny moved Studio HVN to Beijing in 2012. Henny’s work is recognized in both Chinese and international press and publications. He has received an Elle Decoration Award, been a finalist in Design Parade at Villa Noailles, Hyères, France, and has been shortlisted for Designer in Residence at the London Design Museum, among other accolades.
