Studio Rubins

I’m a Dutch visual artist and researcher in the field of light-matter interaction and light and colour perception. In my art practice I investigate the control of material properties to allow the manipulation of light for various purposes. My research concentrates on metals and alloys. My curiosity for the natural world is a primary interest and theme within my work which is grounded completely in direct observations of nature. Exploration and interaction most strongly characterize my approach to art. Largely all my works are relief constructions. I would like to connect and create a network with artists, scientists and researchers working in the area of light and colour perception and light-matter interaction. With the aim to produce art projects. I would like to connect with galleries worldwide to discuss and explore the opportunities for doing business together. I would like to connect with artist-run initiatives and project spaces to discuss the opportunities to co-produce art projects.
