Studio Workshop Architects Associates

Established in 2014, Studio Workshop is an architecture and design practice exploring the intersection of design, technology, craftsmanship, and the built environment through our work. Studio Workshop was forged as equal parts design studio and fabrication workshop, using advanced computational design skills, in-house digital fabrication methods (CAD/CAM manufacturing), and time tested traditions of hand-craft and common-sense approaches to design. Today, Studio Workshop Architects + Associates is focused primarily upon the delivery of innovative design solutions for single and multi-residential, commercial, and hospitality projects to improve the individual and collective enjoyment of the built environment. Operating from the Gold Coast, we have designed projects and proposals across the east coast of Australia with work in the Gold Coast, Northern NSW, Brisbane, Sydney, and MacKay, and abroad in Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Japan, and the United States. Studio Workshop’s design services approach is adaptable to a range of project scenarios, and is able to utilise expert knowledge in the use of intelligent construction methods including prefabrication, mass customisation, modular assembly to achieve unique and efficient outcomes in collaboration with the excellent consultant team engineers, planners, and other experts we engage from project to project. Studio Workshop Architects was established by its founding partners with a collective ambition to transform today’s building industry, led by design thinking and supported by innovative software and fabrication technology that only recently has become available to designers. The team shares a passion for achieving the highest levels of hand crafted quality and integrity in their work whilst pursuing new built forms and organisations of space.
