Study In Japan For Asean

Okayama University was appointed to implement the “Study in Japan Global Network Project in ASEAN” by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in 2019. Our aim is to increase the number of international students from ASEAN 1.5 times in five years. Okayama University was assigned to conduct the project “Coordinator for Study in Japan (Myanmar)” by MEXT in 2014 in order to double the number of students from Myanmar in five years."Coordinator for Study in Japan (Myanmar)", was renamed the "Study in Japan Global Network Project in ASEAN” in 2018 to expand the target area to all of ASEAN. As of July 2020, we are working to achieve our goal through six locations in ASEAN: Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, and Malaysia Okayama University continues to support and advise ASEAN students and teachers who wish to study in Japan with the knowledge and experience we’ve accumulated in Myanmar as well as the resources of the Consortium of Six National Universities in Japan (SixERS*) and other relevant organizations.*SixERS: Chiba University, Niigata University, Kanazawa University, Nagasaki University, Kumamoto University, and Okayama University
