Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra

SPO was established in 2012 by conductor Leslie Olive to make world class, live orchestral music accessible within Suffolk. The charity employs and brings internationally renowned musicians into Suffolk to ensure as many people as possible have easy reach to live performances of the calibre you would hear in major metropolitan centres. It does so through live symphonic performances each year; and through its Outreach, providing free mini concerts in areas of rural isolation or deprivation; and its work in schools, for children and young people. SPO works with multiple stakeholders and partners to ensure it reaches diverse and marginalised adults and children. It also provides opportunities for exceptionally talented young professional soloists at the beginning of their careers giving them much needed help onto the professional ladder.
