John Sullivan, CEO and Founder advises non-profit membership organizations on all aspects of their technology and operations. Currently John serves as the Chief Information Officer at the American Chemical Society. A non-profit scientific and membership organization with a global footprint. John helps organizations get the most out of their investments in technology, develop their technology leaders and improve their operations in a sustainable manner. John brings valuable and broad perspectives to every challenge faced by his clients. He helps ensure client organizations do not over invest in one area and get caught short in another. Prior to joining the ACS, he was the Chief Information Officer at AARP and the senior technology leader for the American Assoication for Justice, American Occupational Therapy Association and the National Society of Professional Engineers. He is a technology expert and has experience managing global operations, product platforms, core IT services, application development, application integration, artificial intelligence (Neural networks and natural language processing). Working with Volunteer leaders and boards is a strength. John understands the requirement to show deference to volunteer leadership, always speaking with respect, while delivering message and recommendations clearly and candidly. John has won a number of awards over the years. Among them he was named to Computerworlds Premier 100 list in 2006. He was an Orbie finalist in 2018 for Capital CIO's non-profit CIO of the year. John is well networked in the non-profit world and has served on the Technology Committee of ASAE on and off over the years. He is a popular speaker with non-profit audiences.
