Sum Architecture

SUM is an architecture, design and visualisation studio based in Johannesburg, South Africa. SUM was formed by Marianne Anthonissen and Colin Sackett in 2011. We were both trained as architects at the University of Cape Town and the University of Pretoria respectively and worked together at studioMAS architects and urban designers for 4 years before SUM was born. Our experience in residential architecture and our passion for design with a personal and direct approach is what characterises the work we do. We are a dynamic team that embraces the challenges that come with every new project and enjoy working with our clients to create and deliver individual solutions for their needs, wishes and personalities. We specialise in the design and construction of residential projects through to the smaller scale of bespoke furniture and product design, utilising detail 3D visualisation at all stages to test and refine our designs.
