Sunbird Bio is enabling precision neurology through the development of SunbirdDx, a comprehensive blood-based diagnostic platform designed to support earlier, more accurate diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders. SunbirdDx is the first platform that has demonstrated the ability to directly detect and quantify the disease-specific proteins that aggregate in the brain and signal the presence of neurological disorders as well as co-pathologies that may be present. These proteins include alpha synuclein (α-synuclein), TDP-43, amyloid beta (Aβ), tau, and other protein and non-protein biomarkers.
