Vision All Central Texas families have access to nutritious and community inspired food options. Mission Sunday Lunchbox provides nutritious and community inspired food for those most underserved by our food system in Central Texas. History Sunday Lunchbox was founded in November 2020 to do our part to end food injustice in Central Texas. We have been providing nutritious food options to our community since the spring of 2021. In 2023-2024 we expanded our services from Austin to surrounding areas including Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Georgetown, Hutto, and Cedar Creek. Problem Statement Sunday Lunchbox was founded in November 2020 to fight against the inequity arising from access and availability to nourishing foods for children in Central Texas. According to the most recent Austin State of the Food System Report, 14.4% people in Travis County experience food insecurity. The ‘good enough’ options typically available to keep children fed are simply not good enough. We can do better. We provide direct delivery of produce as well as our line of minimally-processed products to homes to ensure dignity and agency are not lost while we strive to improve access.
