Sungi Development Foundation

Sungi Development Foundation is a Non-Government Organization who's Mission is to bring about policy and institutional changes by mobilizing marginalized communities to transform their lives through equitable and sustainable use of resources without any discrimination against social origin, sex, race, caste and religion. Since its establishment in 1989, Sungi has been working for an integrated and comprehensive approach for the empowerment and improved quality of life of women and men. This is done by organizing and enhancing the capacities of poor and marginalized commiunities on human rights, poverty alleviation and sustaniable livelihood, access to social services, equitable distribution and conservation of natural resources, and by promoting good governance at the local and national levels. Gender equality amongst women and men through gender sedimentation is in integral across all Sungi's programs, policies and practices
