My wife who is working as an Immigration Officer at Maldives Immigration notices so many travelers who has booked guesthouses on online booking sites wandering around the airport at her day-to-day work. Most of these tourists have no idea that only a few speedboat ferries are operated at a certain schedule. Once they miss the ferry, the only option left out will be hiring a speedboat which is going to cost a lot of money and create so much unwanted trouble if they are to arrange it by themselves. Since I had been providing consultancy for guesthouses before I have been appointed as a Deputy Minister, my wife suggested why not I solve this problem for the tourists. I took the issue quite seriously and this made me discuss it with some of my friends who are working at the airport and in guesthouse businesses. As far as my experience goes and the conversation I had with the guesthouse owners, I came to know that they have been facing quite a lot of problems in getting confirmed reservations and their occupancy is so low, which makes them unviable to hire a tour guide who can handle tourists at the airport. My wife and I, after having discussed the issue for several days, came up with the idea of establishing our own travel company. So, we hired Adam to help our guests at the airport. Since we both love Italian cuisine and people, we decided why not focus on Italian tourists initially. Therefore, we also hired an Italian friend named Giuseppe Carrabota to helps us to communicate and provide customer service support. We aim to become No.1 customer service company for Italian tourists traveling to the Maldives. We love spending time in the sun, as do you. That’s the reason we go with the phrase SunTime is FunTime.
