Suomen Voima Oy

Suomen Voima Oy is an energy company founded in 1995. Its mission is to procure renewable, low-emission and reasonably priced electricity for its owners, while operating under the Mankala principle. It is fully owned by 16 Finnish energy companies operating in Southern and Western Finland with many of them having more than a century of historical background in the domestic energy industry. Suomen Voima develops, builds and operates different energy projects with a philosophy of sustainable and long-term ownership. In the past years, the company has almost quadrupled its electricity procurement by investing significantly in domestic wind, solar and nuclear power as well as Norwegian hydropower.
