Surena Humanoid Robot
CAST (Center of Advanced Systems & Technologies): Design and fabrication of the new with the financial support of IDRO has been started in the University of Tehran. Surena maneuverability, speed, intelligence and DOF (31) have been increased from its previous versions. Many robotic researchers from all over the country took part in the design and fabrication of this robot. The project has been conducted in three phases. While phase one focuses on design, modeling, sensor-actuator installation and mechanical fabrication, phase two is more about dynamics and control challenges, likes stability and speed enhancement. In the third phase, artificial intelligence and an original software framework are also be developed.
