Surgical Consultants

The roots of Surgical Consultants go back to Edina in the 1950's when two surgeons came together to form a practice dedicated to providing compassionate, state-of-the-art surgical care. On September 1, 1969, the growing practice incorporated as Surgical Consultants, P.A, a physician-owned and directed association. Two practice divisions serve patients at offices in Edina and Burnsville, and perform surgeries at Fairview Southdale Hospital and Fairview Ridges Hospital. As one of the leading surgical practices in the Twin Cities' region, Surgical Consultants contracts with all major payers and most care systems in the area. We always strive to make our services both accessible and affordable. On October 1, 2008, Surgical Consultants and Fairview joined together as one organization, expanding Fairview’s surgical service options and benefiting patients in many ways. The integration lays the groundwork for a surgical services division at Fairview that allows Surgical Consultants to work in collaboration with physicians at the University of Minnesota. Although Surgical Consultants has grown dramatically since its founding more than a half-century ago, one thing will never change. We will always remain dedicated to providing you with the best surgical care possible, delivered in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.
