SURICATE is a Mauritanian group specialized in exploring strategic minerals in Mauritania. They focus on areas rich in gold, iron ore, barium, lithium, and high purity quartz through ambitious exploration projects. Their operations primarily target the TASIAST-TIJIRIT greenstone belts of the REGUIBAT shield, akin to the renowned KINROSS Tasiast gold mine, a major gold-producing region globally. The region's geological characteristics, including pegmatitic muscovite-granite intrusions, suggest abundant lithium, strontium, and beryllium minerals, notably Spodumene and Lepidolite. Their exploration efforts have identified numerous quartzofeldspathic pegmatites, indicating substantial economic potential with significant quantities of beryl and low-iron Spodumene and Lepidolite, reinforcing the area's mineral richness.
