Surviving In Numbers

Surviving in Numbers was founded in 2013 as a multimedia online sharing platform that provides a safe and anonymous place for survivors to share their experiences in a specific format aimed at educating the public on the impact of trauma. Surviving in Numbers' mission is to provide a dedicated space for survivors to share their narratives and feel empowered and supported in community, to raise awareness of sexual assault and domestic violence, and through prevention workshops and empowering survivors to share their stories, change the culture and eradicate these issues. Surviving in Numbers is the only organization that focuses on story-sharing in this way, and its prevention work primarily focuses on working with teenagers and young women. Coupled with the online platform, Surviving in Numbers hosts displays of survivors’ stories in community spaces from Massachusetts to China, on military bases, and on high school and college campuses internationally.
