Susan Stoderl

Susan Stoderl worked in New York City in opera as a soloist, chorister, music director, conductor, and composer. Life in NYC involved daily prayers to the Subway Goddess for the train to come and surviving the slight inconvenience of needing a day job. She now writes middle-grade fiction in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Besides Sophia of the Bright Red Sneakers series (middle-grade detective books for ages eight to twelve years), Susan also hosts the literacy podcast, Beyond the Books | The Language of Success. The podcast is aired every second and fourth Tuesday of the month on both her web page and her YouTube channel @writer_susanstoderl.
