OUR VISION A safer future for all OUR PURPOSE Suscon AS aims to strengthen democracy by disseminating knowledge across municipal and county boundaries. WHAT WE DO We do this by delivering courses, lectures and guidance / coaching, as well as arranging for increased knowledge exchange between the country's elected representatives. FOR WHOM We assist municipalities, elected representatives and others who want to strengthen democracy-and people who want to get more involved in democracy. BACKGROUND With our many years of experience and experiences as elected representatives and active members of political parties, we recognized that we should have had more knowledge when we started as a member of a party, and later became elected representatives. We could then have been more secure in our roles and thus contributed more strongly to a sustainable democratically controlled development of our society. We experience that many other elected representatives experience it exactly as we did- Historical development in Norway over the last 30 years (according to Statistics Norway): People's confidence in democracy is declining. Fewer and fewer of us are actively involved in democracy through membership in political parties. Fewer and fewer of us say yes to standing as candidates in elections. The number of elected representatives is reduced. This means that fewer and fewer people are making democratic decisions on behalf of us all-We consider this a sign of an unhealthy and unsustainable development in our people-governed society. Suscon AS was therefore established in 2018 to contribute to increased awareness and knowledge of our democracy so that more people can get actively involved, as well as be active and good contributors in our democracy. The name Suscon is an abbreviation for sustainable consulting, which is reflected in our purpose and our vision.
