Sustainability Frontiers

Sustainability Frontiers is a not-for-profit organisation engaged in research, development and innovation in the broad fields of education for sustainability and global education. It works within formal, informal and non-formal education spheres at school age, adult and community levels, offering alternatives to dominant assumptions and current orthodoxies as a pathway to learner empowerment and action. It embraces the intrinsic value and right to exist of the other-than-human and natural environments by calling for education that is embedded in a planetary ethic of peace, environmental and social justice, and that is restorative and celebratory of local and indigenous communities and cultures. It places particular emphasis on climate change and disaster risk reduction education and on the implications for sustainability of climate change and the rising incidence and severity of hazard and disaster globally.
