Suzon

Suzon AI is a research center in linguistic artificial intelligence, rooted in the scientific legacy of Jacques Blois, a Belgian pioneer of computational linguistics and an early precursor of semantic interoperability. At ULB’s ISTI, inspired in part by the first experiments at Georgetown University, he created the morphological core of DICAUTOM, which later became the foundation of EURODICAUTOM at the European Commission — a landmark system ensuring multilingual consistency across technical and legal domains. Suzon AI continues this vision by building the embryo of semantic interoperability for the age of artificial intelligence: a framework where queries, data, and knowledge are not only exchanged, but understood in their meaning and context. Our ambition is to become the semantic backbone of trustworthy AI, aligned with the AI Act and future ISO/CEN standards.
