Svedice Ab
Originally a part of Ericsson Microelectronics, the fab was spun out into an independent entity – Svedice AB – offering foundry services to the general industry. Syntune was one of the key customers, building its advanced tunable laser solutions on Svedice’s established InP process blocks. In 2008, Syntune acquired a controlling stake in Svedice. Fab capabilities cover the full range of manufacturing processes required to build complex InP-based active optical components: epitaxial growth (MOVPE), material characterization, lithography, etching, metallization, and testing. The facilities compromise 272 square meters sqft) of office space and approximately square meters sqft) of clean room space, maintenance access, and storage areas related to the wafer fab.
