Swansea Drydocks Ltd is a company registered in Wales and set up to undertake the business of marine unit and ship repairs, maintenance and recycling. The company aims to build upon Swansea's tradition of ship repair and meet the growing demand in Europe for environmentally responsible ship recycling by creating a world class ship repair and recycling facility that conforms to the European standards for quality, environment, health & safety and ship recycling; the international Maritime Organisation standards; and the Environment Agency's environmental permit. Situated in the Port of Swansea, the facility is easily accessible by the major shipping routes, including the Atlantic, English Channel, Irish Sea and Bristol Channel.
