Swcc Run, Inc

The SWCC Run, Walk and Roll 5K is a neighborhood community building event. All residents of Southwest Center City, Naval Sq, and beyond are invited to participate in the planning, volunteer duties on the day of the event, and of course, running, walking, or rolling in the event! Proceeds from the event are invested back into the neighborhood in the form of beautification efforts. The 2009 event contributed to signage and bulletin boards at Julian Abele Park, a newly formed park at 22nd and Montrose! We couldn't be more excited to host our 2010 event on Saturday, October 16, 2010. Learn more at Catalyst for the creation of uGO: A Community Wellness Venture in West Philly. This corporation is organized exclusively for one or more of the purposes as specified in Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code of 1986,(or the corresponding provisions of any future United States Internal Revenue Code), including, the sponsoring of yearly athletic events (road running), the proceeds of which are to be donated to community charities which benefit the area of Center City Philadelphia from Broad Street to Grays Ferry Avenue and from South Street to Washington Avenue, otherwise known as Southwest Center City.
