I’m Devon Chakiris, LPC, and I’m the founder of Sweet As Ever LLC, a Pennsylvania-based telehealth counseling practice offering individual therapy, group therapy, clinical supervision, and consultation. I believe healing happens within relationships that feel safe, affirming, and genuine. My work is trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that people are not broken—they are responding to what they’ve lived through. Together, we focus on reducing the impact of past experiences while building practical tools to help you cope more fully in the present. I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2012, beginning my journey after earning my bachelor’s degree from Marywood University. I completed my master’s degree in counseling at La Salle University in 2017 and have since gained experience in both clinical practice and higher education. I am currently a PhD student in Counselor Education and Supervision. I specialize in a wide range of concerns, with particular focus on depression, anxiety, bipolar, borderline personality, post-traumatic stress, substance use, and compulsive gambling disorders. I have expertise supporting the LGBTQ+ community, healthcare workers, first responders and justice-involved individuals. My clinical approach is informed by specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, allowing me to integrate skills-based strategies with trauma-informed care. At the core of my work, however, is a person-centered and holistic approach. I specialize in working with teens and adults, and I understand how heavy life can feel when stress, trauma, or identity-related concerns begin to pile up. You don’t have to carry it alone.
