Sweet Energy
Sweet Energy was started in 1979 by Carole Ziter. Carole and husband Tom discovered dried fruit at a Home show in New England and thought it was fantastic. For a short time Carole tested selling dried fruit at a retail store in Vermont called Garden Way. After six months the store decided to cancel the dried fruit program and offered Carole the fruit and the list of customers who bought. Carole took those first hundred names and mailed them the first catalog/flyer and Sweet Energy was born. Each year Carole slowly grew the business by placing 1" ads in Yankee magazine while working out of the home raising three kids. By the mid 1980s the business had outgrown the house and she moved into a building in Colchester Vermont where the business resides today. In 2001 son Tim and Daughter-in-law Audrey took over the business and now are raising their two kiddos Malcolm and Charlotte in beautiful Vermont. When you call Sweet Energy you'll probably get one of our "Working Moms". Sweet Energy was started and continues to employ for the most part hard working mothers who are looking for some extra income for the family. Many of these working Moms are now Working Grandmoms! You can be sure that your order is handled with extra care, like your Mom or Grandmom would.
