We’re Swine ’09 and our mission is simple: To promote youth optimism under any circumstances. We sell T-Shirts that are locally produced using only the highest quality materials. We are committed to donating as much money as possible to direct care at Children’s Hospital Boston and to continually produce t-shirts to fundraise for other charitable efforts that share our vision. But its 2010, so why Swine ’09? The idea for our company came at the height of the Swine Flu outbreak. It's an idea borne out of frustration and opportunity. As victims, we recognized first-hand how the H1N1 Epidemic of 2009 had a particularly negative effect on youth everywhere. Even today, hundreds of thousands of college students have had bad information and in catching it, had a tremendously negative experience while away from home, often for the first time. On October 25, 2009, President Barack Obama declared the H1N1 Influenza Virus a National Emergency. The announcement triggered nation-wide distress. By producing T-Shirts and creating SwineCellar.com, we hope to celebrate students’ struggles, and put a positive spin on situations based upon fear and negativity. It is increasingly important that students face their day-to-day lives with optimism. We are firm believers in the concept that a positive outlook is as helpful in overcoming an illness as any vaccination. By retailing exclusive and artistic clothing, and by inspiring, club parties, fraternity parties, social events, and dances worldwide, Swine ‘09 will help students turn their back on the dark and depressing moments. Swine ’09 is a vision. It is a pig shirt, a positive image, an encouraging cause, a confident motivator, and a reason for optimism. Our website - - is scheduled to launch in February of 2010.
