Swiss Relief Foundation was founded in 2020, the midst of pandemic, by Paolo Gheorghiu and Manuel Werner to provide emergency humanitarian relief. The operation grew from providing approx. 60 meals a month in Milan, Italy with a partner mobile foodbank (Q4 2020) to providing approx. 4,300 meals in Quito, Ecuador (Q1 2024) and 250 meals (Q1 2024) in Turin, Italy. Previously registered as an association receiving tax-exempt status in November 2022 and becoming a Foundation in January 2024.
