Swiss Sedimentation Technologies is a company which develops and install complete vertical desanding systems for hydro electric power plants. Water intake for high-pressure hydro power plants requires effective desanding systems with a minimal use of flushing water. Without a reliable desanding system wear on turbines, nozzle valves, control devices and pressure pipes incurs very high repair costs. SST advices for the planning and installation of vertical desanding systems, based on the technology developed by Bieri, with hydro-mechanical elements.
