Swissvacuum

swissvacuum is the society in Switzerland that is actively involved in vacuum physics and technology and their applications. It was founded in 1953 as the "Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Vakuumphysik und -technik" or "Société Suisse pour la Science et la Technique du Vide". swissvacuum promotes basic and applied research. The objectives are of university level, have an applied-technical orientation and are of both educational and economic nature. The activities of swissvacuum include the organization of and participation in national and international congresses. Lectures, symposia and workshops are organized. We also organize the Swiss Vacuum Course every two years. The company is a member of the IUVSTA (International Union of Vacuum Science, Technology and Applications). It regularly participates in its events, either through delegates on the leading committees or through representatives on the committees of the eight IUVSTA divisions.
