Sydney Commons Lab

We are co-creators and collaborators who are experimenting in collaboration and cooperation for promoting a new narrative and building social infrastructu re. This is in support of communities to care for each other and our earth, and to build common wealth and increase local ownership in Sydney. We include representatives of community groups, cooperatives, not-for-profits, social enterprises, government and business. We have published the Sydney Commons Transition Plan. Sydney Commons Lab convened by InCollaboration and supported by City of Sydney. We are connected into Sydney, Australian and global movements relating to the commons, community wealth building,wellbeing, new economy and regenerative economy. We value First Nations wisdom, knowledges and ways of being and are building relationships and exploring Indigenous perspectives as we move forward. Our collaborations involve sharing resources, power, skills and energies to build social infrastructure to progress the commons and community wealth building in Sydney. The commons provides an operating model for living and working as if we care about each other and our earth. Specific commons are about communities coming together to steward resources for the common good. Communities building wealth is about community creating and keeping wealth in local communities.
