SynBio Canada is a volunteer-run national not-for-profit. Our team and community is distributed across Canada. Vision To ensure Canada’s leadership in the field of synthetic biology through the development and retention of synthetic biology expertise across the country. Mission To create, strengthen, and advocate for a coordinated community of enthusiasts, trainees, and researchers passionate about synthetic biology. What we do to accomplish our mission 1. Community build: Create a visible and connected community of researchers and enthusiasts 2. Fund: Provide financial support for the Canadian synbio community 3. Connect: Provide opportunities for synthetic biology enthusiasts to connect and share resources 4. Promote: Promote Canadian synthetic biology research and applications 5. Advocate: Act as a resource for evidence-based policy making and advocate for the needs of the Canadian synbio community
