TAG Partners is an Independent Sponsor owned and managed by its 3 Founding Partners (Georges-Alexandre Ancenys, Thierry Manceau and André Wagner) and investing in French SMEs. We invest from €5m to €50m per transaction (majority stakes) with a strong focus on Luxury, Healthcare, and High Value-Added Manufacturing. Our differentiated approach to value creation is built around three core pillars — Transformation, Acquisition, and Growth (TAG): TRANSFORMATION We are hands-on investors with prior experience as CEOs. This operational background enables us to lead deep business transformations, strengthening organizations and preparing portfolio companies for their next growth cycle. ACQUISITION(S) We target fragmented markets where value can be created through disciplined bolt-on acquisitions. Each acquisition is viewed not only as a way to scale, but also as an opportunity to broaden product offerings, move up or down the value chain, and reinforce long-term competitive advantages. GROWTH We frequently encounter French SMEs with strong products and loyal customer bases, yet limited investment in growth. Following an acquisition, we dedicate significant time and capital to building robust sales organizations, accelerating growth both domestically and internationally. Independent Sponsor Model As an Independent Sponsor, we do not raise blind pools of capital. Instead, we tailor a specific equity pool for each transaction, with no pressure to invest (or to divest) on a predefined timeline. To ensure full alignment with our investors (primarily Family Offices, HNWIs, and institutional investors), we typically invest 5% of the equity as GP commitment.
