Talbert Building Supply’s roots date back to the late 1930s when brothers Edd and J.D. Talbert began harvesting timber for a sawmill. The brothers founded Roxboro, NC, based Talbert & Talbert Lumber Company in the 1950s. In 1983, Edd’s son Danny added a retail store that became Talbert Building Supply, Inc. in 1990. Since then, we have added branches in Durham, Clarksville, VA, Asheboro, Clemmons, and Danville, VA. Our membership in Lumbermens Merchandising Corporation (LMC) gives us billions of dollars in buying power and access to industry-leading lumber mills and brands, market intelligence, and innovative building solutions. LMC and our strong supplier partnerships enable us to source a broad and ever-growing choice of products and services.
