Tamarind is a renowned center for fine art lithography, advancing the craft since 1960 through a commitment to refined technique, exceptional materials, and collaborations with contemporary artists. Tamarind is centered on a mission to sustain the art of lithography. Encompassing a workshop, gallery, library, and advanced trainjng program for artisan printers, Tamarind conducts research, trains professional printers, and collaborates with artists of all disciplines to produce and publish original works on paper. These three areas — research, education, and artist collaborations— are central to our unique program as an educational print center with a highly refined contemporary art focus.
