Neville founded Tamik Design after 20 years as a design and production engineer in the commercial furniture industry. In 1997, he seized the opportunity to start developing his own innovative furniture hardware components. Neville and Leif first worked together in 2001 as design engineer and designer. In 2014 Leif joined Tamik Design bringing with him over a decade of product and commercial furniture design experience. At Tamik we develop clever, well-engineered, elegant and affordable furniture and joinery components. Products that solve a problem, or provide a better solution to the needs of the customer, designer maker or end user. The Link-it table connector was Tamik’s first product, and Häfele quickly added it to their catalog. Link-it proved hugely popular. It launched a range of successful Tamik products, and an equally successful relationship with Häfele. Nearly two decades on, the team at Tamik Design continue proudly designing and developing quality products in New Zealand, products that Häfele distributes world-wide.
