Tanik Wellness

Who we are Tänik Wellness is a nonprofit that will provide a combination of holistic therapies over 90 days on a sustainably designed campus to teach and inspire healing for adults suffering from mental health/substance abuse issues in forested central Oregon. What we are doing Tänik is a unique 3 month residential inpatient program that will focus on infusing carefully curated adventure sports and life-sustaining skill sets. These therapeutic methods help individuals regain control and confidence in their lives. Our goal To reshape the way we retroactively approach a curated list of mental health issues and substance abuse. We want to help clients understand the clinical and psychosocial aspects underlying their conditions so that they can better understand how to best care for themselves when they return from completing our program. Why Tänik We believe our model will be successful for the same reasons it is different; 1) A sustainable campus designed for the clients needs, not retrofitted 2) Design influenced by biophilia (humans innate connection to all things living) 3) Embedded with several (proven) therapies within the adventure sports and life-sustaining skill sets 4) An endowment and sliding scale for paying for the program. If you can fully afford the program, kudos, if you are coming off the street with nothing other to your name and you pass our screening and pre-requisites (one of which is being one month clean) we will cover the cost of your “tuition” - all of which will be vetted 5) We have a (pending) 501c3 status which will grant tax write-offs for all donors/sponsors 6) One month between each 90 day program for employees broken up as follows: Week 1 - debrief on the former group, share what worked, what didn’t, what was difficult, etc Week 2 & 3 - Employees off Week 4 - gear up for next group mentally/emotionally and prepare logistically 7) Job Placement
