Taos Resources

Taos Resources is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company with areas of operation in the Gulf Coast of Texas and throughout Kansas. Taos Resources holds approximately gross net) acres in Texas, Kansas and Wyoming. The Company operates 90% of its producing acreage from over 120 wells. The Company’s management and support staff have a diverse skill set, with geological and operational capabilities spanning from the Frio Sands found on the Gulf Coast to the mid-continent formations across Kansas. Much of the team has worked together over the course of the last decade, and is particularly known for their creative solutions to the challenges of re-working legacy oil fields. Southwestern Growth Partners, a private equity firm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, acquired the Company in June 2013 from Future Petroleum. Since the acquisition, the management team has kicked off an aggressive growth strategy to develop proven reserves within its current suite of assets as well as pursue new exploration plays throughout Kansas.
